I didn't even think about the weight issue, I just saw a study that 1 in 5 four year olds are obese! But, yes, they aren't allowed to run around. Hmmm. Sad. Yet the "experts" want to complain about children gaining weight. This is akin to parents getting upset about fast food advertisements - I don't know about you, but none of my four can drive there, so the only way they can eat it is if *I* take them there - so who's to blame if I don't know what moderation is???? (Because I know eating at McD's every once in a while is absolutely harmless!!) Ah... I love your blog, you and I have so much in common!
